A woman has been taken to hospital with suspected stab wounds after an incident in Perth’s southern suburbs this morning.
Police officers were called to a home on Paw Lane in Beeliar about 10.45am, where they found the injured woman, aged in her 40s.
She was taken by ambulance to Fiona Stanley Hospital with serious injuries.
Police say a man was seen running from the home shortly after the incident reportedly happened. Detectives believe the man and the woman may know each other.
Police say it is understood to be an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider community but people in the area are encouraged to stay vigilant.
The area has been cordoned off while police investigate and it is understood no arrests have been made at this stage.
