Beeliar baby dying: Police treating tragedy as non-suspicious

There was no foul play in the tragic death of a baby at a home in Perth’s southern suburbs.

Detectives have not revealed the cause of the infant’s death at the Beeliar home on Wednesday but are treating it as non-suspicious.

Forensic and homicide officers have now left the property.

Emergency services were called to the home, 26km south of Perth, about midday on Wednesday.

Detectives from the homicide and major crime squads, and forensic officers, were stationed at the property on Honeyeater Street until well into Wednesday night, trying to determine how the tragedy unfolded.

Investigators were seen collecting evidence from inside the home, sifting through wheelie bins and a parked trailer outside the property.
