Beechboro: Driver wanted by police for Christmas hit-and-run crash that hospitalised 60-year-old woman

Police are hunting for a driver responsible for a Christmas hit-and-run that hospitalised a 60-year-old woman in Perth’s north-eastern suburbs.

Police say the woman was struck about 8.50am this morning in Beechboro while driving her Nissan X-trial west along Amazon Drive when a silver vehicle, believed to be a Mazda Bravo ute, collided with her at the intersection of St. Lawrence Drive.

“The silver vehicle did not stop after the crash and was last seen heading north along St. Lawrence Drive,” a police spokeswoman said.

The 60-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

“Traffic Enforcement Group officers are urging anyone who saw this incident, or has CCTV or dash-cam of the crash to call Crime Stoppers,” she said.

Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online.
