Australia captain Tim Paine faces an enormous task later this year, when he leads his troops behind enemy lines as they attempt to retain the Ashes.
But until then, he’s enjoying some well-deserved time off.
As the number one ticket holder of the Southern Huskies in the New Zealand National Basketball League, the 34-year-old was among the crowd cheering the team on at a match in Tasmania.
At half-time Paine tried his hand at a half-court shot, and had the crowd on their feet when the stunning shot was on target.

Even he seemed impressed with his handiwork that never looked like missing.
After the celebrations settled down, Paine went one better with a three-quarter court shot, and while his one-handed attempt was an agonizingly close miss, he still received warm applause from onlookers.
Perhaps the wicket-keeper batsman has a post-cricket basketball career up his sleeve?!
