At home on the range

Sure to draw the eye of bungalow lovers and admirers of rustic style everywhere, Summit Homes has introduced its latest display, which is quite distinct from anything else in the builder’s catalogue.

The Colorado projects a commanding street presence, drawing on cues from eras gone by with a pitched roof and sweeping front verandah.

Summit Homes Sales Manager Peter Chellew said the home’s signature rustic elements wrapped the exterior before continuing indoors.

“This modern ranch theme can be seen in the front elevation, which features stunning spotted gum timber posts with brick piers, timber balustrade and German smear finish on the feature brickwork,” he said.

“The theme continues inside with a spectacular double raking ceiling to the living, dining and alfresco.

“The living area also boasts a charming fireplace with feature timber mantle.”

The home has a distinct look to its interior, with exposed beams and soaring ceilings.

“The Colorado is inspired by the charm that is found in country homes,” Mr Chellew said. “It is a spacious four-bedroom, two-bathroom home, great for families who love entertaining.”

Boasting just a touch under 300sqm of living space, the Colorado is defined by oversized proportions, and nowhere illustrates this better than in the sweeping open-plan living area.

High ceilings accentuate the sense of space in the grand zone, comprising the dining, kitchen and living before flowing through to the outdoors.

“The kitchen has a rustic brickwork feature wall and clear glass splashback,” Mr Chellew said.

“There is a large island bench and huge scullery/walk-in pantry.

“The addition of feature timber beams and a gorgeous fireplace make the living area of the Colorado a truly beautiful space.”

The parents’ retreat resides at the rear of the floor plan, with a sense of luxury immediate upon entry.

“The master suite features a massive walk-in robe and elegant ensuite with double vanity and double shower,” Mr Chellew said.

“The children’s wing is privately located at the front of the home and includes three big bedrooms with built-in robes and dedicated activity room.”

The Colorado suits a 15m-wide block, with a 12.5m-wide design also available for versatility.

“The home features ample storage and space, making it perfect for flexible family living, while the massive alfresco and living areas make entertaining a breeze,” Mr Chellew said.

The display home is located in Hazelmere and is open for viewing on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-5pm, Saturdays and public holidays from 1-5pm and Sundays from 12-5pm.
