Anodor is on course to head straight for the French 2000 Guineas (Poule d’Essai des Poulains) at ParisLongchamp on May 12.

Trainer Freddy Head is pleased with the way Anodin colt has been working and is looking forward to the Classic on home soil.

“He’s doing well. I’m happy with him. We’re on course for the French Guineas,” said Head.

“He won’t run before then.”

Anodor won his first two starts and was only beaten a length when third to Royal Marine in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp in October.

Head revealed he never had any plans to switch to the Qipco 2000 Guineas at Newmarket after Too Darn Hot was ruled out, even though Andre Fabre’s Persian King is set to go for the Poulains.

“I wasn’t tempted to go to Newmarket,” he said.

Head named the Group Two Prix du Muguet over a mile at Saint-Cloud on May 1 as the starting point for Polydream.

Winner of the Prix Maurice du Gheest, the filly was beaten in the Prix Foret and was a late withdrawal on veterinary advice from the Breeders’ Cup Mile.

“She is very well and is going to run on the 1st of May in the Prix du Muguet,” said Head.

“She’s done well over the winter and I’m very happy with her.”
