Ambulance involved in car crash in West Perth at intersection of Loftus Street and Railway Parade

An ambulance has been involved in a dramatic crash in West Perth overnight.

The St John Ambulance was travelling east on Railway Parade under priority one conditions when a car failed to give way at the Loftus Street intersection.

The vehicles collided around 9.40pm last night, with the ambulance crashing into a traffic pole.

Emergency services attended the scene and the St John officers were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The driver of the Honda sedan sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Police are investigating.
