Alto racks up multiple WA gold hits near Lords Corridor

Alto Metals has unearthed a slew of wide, high-grade gold hits at its 100 per cent owned Vanguard Camp approximately 8 kilometres west of the proliferous Lords Corridor in WA. Stellar results include an 11 metre intercept grading a serious 15.3 grams per tonne gold from only 40m with a 1m internal parcel grading a whopping 147.2 g/t gold.

Other notable results from Vanguard include a 30m hit going a solid 3.0 g/t gold from 87m, 7m grading 4.5 g/t gold from 56m downhole, 2m at 20.8 g/t gold from 102m and 5m grading 6.5 g/t gold from 67m.

Extensional and step out drilling at the Vanguard and Vanguard North prospects has identified mineralised parallel trends that remain open along strike and down dip, according to the company. The Vanguard mineralised trend now extends across a modelled strike length totalling 2,000m and now represents a major regional target within the Alpha domain for Alto.

The Alpha domain sits approximately 30km southeast of the historic Sandstone township. It contains the Indomitable camp, Ladybird prospect, Vanguard camp and Havilah prospects on the Western flank. The eastern section of the Alpha domain hosts the historic Lord Nelson and Lord Henry open pits that book-end the ‘Lords Corridor’ where Alto is sitting on a total JORC compliant 331,000 ounces gold resource.

The recent barrage of results is far from over with 80 RC drillholes still pending assays from the Vanguard, Lord Henry and Indomitable prospects.

Located just 10km from the high-grade Vanguard camp is the Indomitable prospect that is shaping up to be no slouch either, returning a 15.2m intercept grading 2.3 g/t gold from a shallow 34.8m.

We are excited to have confirmed so far mineralisation within two parallel trends along a 2 kilometre strike length with high-grade gold over 10 g/t in multiple drill holes and all outside the current resource.

A key takeaway from today’s announcement is that our systematic approach to exploration is continuing to deliver strong results for shareholders.

The Lords Corridor, Vanguard and Indomitable firmly remain our priority focus as we look to grow the resources. However, in time, we are very much looking forward to applying the same methodical approach to unlock the value from the numerous other regional targets within our 900 square kilometres of the Sandstone Gold Project.

The recent drill results at Vanguard and Indomitable hint at considerable mineralisation potentially existing outside of the very significant Lords Corridor historical mining area. Pending assays will be no doubt highly anticipated by Alto followers.
