Aces White aim to atone for early loss

Reigning men’s champions Aces White will be out for revenge in tomorrow night’s Bunbury Basketball Association blockbuster against unbeaten Tornadoes Black.

Last time both sides met back in round two, Tornadoes Black pulled away late to record a 104-77 victory, after Aces White hung tough for two and a half quarters.

A big reason the reigning champs fell into a hole was their inability to penetrate deep inside the paint. The offensive looks they did manage were less than ideal and many failed to land inside the bucket.

But Aaron Edwards is a resilient coach and given the time he has spent working with his young team, they have every opportunity to atone for the season’s only loss.

It will be interesting to see if Xavier Cotton suits up for Tornadoes Black, given he has been absent over the past few weeks.

Buoyed by their inaugural victory in the women’s competition, the Eaton Eagles will be back on assignment against Tornadoes Black, a side which narrowly defeated them earlier this season.

The Eagles will again be looking to Karinda Farrant, who has dazzled offensively over the past month.
