Powerball has released its “luckiest” and “unluckiest” numbers from the past seven weeks.
The number 9 has shown up four times in the past seven draws and another five numbers have emerged three times.
On the other hand, there are seven numbers that have not been drawn at all over the past seven weeks.
“That is the $50 million question – while every number has an equal opportunity of being drawn, we have seen these hotter numbers recently,” Powerball spokemsn Matt Hart told Sunrise.
“The big question is whether you mark your coupon with some of the more frequently or infrequently drawn numbers?
“Or do you do a Quickpick and let the machines do the work for you?”
Tonight is the second-highest Lotto draw of the year and one-in-five adults are expected to buy a ticket.
The chance of any of them winning anything at all with a 12-game entry is about one in 44; the odds of a division one prize are one in 11 million.
Luckiest numbers (past seven draws): 9, 14, 19, 24, 25 and 32.
Unluckiest: 7, 10, 11, 17, 21, 22 and 28
